April 2016

Just returned from the NEC Homebuilding & Renovating Show sponsored by Velux.  This annual event with over 500 exhibitors is for self-builders, renovators and home improvers. The show runs for 4 days and there were seminars, masterclasses, workshops and an advice centre.  For example the free Masterclass in Theatre One was offering advice on the benefits of underfloor heating, how to fund a self-build, how to make the most of roof space with loft conversion, kitchen design ideas to create the perfect family kitchen, rules for renovating a period property, design ideas for bedrooms and bathrooms were just a few of the vast array of topics covered.

I was particularly impressed with the launch of the new roman blind range from Velux.  There are over 20 different interchangeable fabrics that can be easily removed for cleaning (I am a supplier of Velux blinds)
